...and discovered a pebble (a little rock!) had gotten behind the brake area. It was in a spot where it really couldn’t do any harm; it just made a lot of noise. We marveled at how often the enemy uses tactics like that to distract us!

The amount of time and effort it would take for it to be removed was a greater effort than needed at that moment. He advised us to continue with our journey and said it would eventually come out that it wouldn’t harm the car. We didn’t hear a peep out of it for a couple hundred miles, but it didn’t actually come out until almost a week after we got back, but when the car was checked - there was no damage. :)
